Japanese Type 94 Pistol

The Type 94 automatic pistol was design for the tanker, pilot, or aircrewman who needed a side arms, but needed something smaller than the Type 14.  Although some of the early variations had an attractive, gloss blue finish, most Type 94s exhibit a roughly machined, dull finish.

A design quirk which all Type 94 pistols share it that they have an exposed sear linkage which allows the weapon to fire if pressure is applied to a 5 mm wide metal bar.

This first piece is an example of an early gloss blue finish variation.  It is in excellent original condition, all matching, including the magazine and the correct leather holster.

This second piece shows the typical rough machining.  It is in excellent original condition, all matching, including both magazines and the correct canvas holster.
